Job description

For our Services & Support MRO Maintenance Operations team, we are seeking a new team member as Program Manager, to act as first level of interaction and support between Embraer and the customer during the heavy check maintenance of commercial aircraft.


  • Based in Lisbon, Portugal at OGMA facilities;
  • Portuguese Nationality or EU citizenship required.

The Program Manager is responsible to provide commercial support to Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services (EAMS) operations pushing for profitable execution of the assigned projects, as well as enabling on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities and assignments

  • Maintain a positive rapport and a strong working knowledge of each EAMS customer representative;
  • Work closely to- and maintain strong communication links with EAMS project managers and other key operations staff;
  • Act as interface between EAMS commercial programs and the EACS sales representative on all aspects of the customer relationship;
  • Ensure all (progress) meetings are scheduled according to the schedule for meetings outlined in the HMA;
  • Ensure all reports are available for clients as outlined in the HMA;

  • Organize and conduct a post-dock review for every project within 7 days after departure;
  • Works with Invoicing to ensure accurate invoicing with respect to contractual terms and guidance from leadership;
  • Analyse customer claims, processes them internally and communicates the results in collaboration with the sales reps;
  • Works with the sales reps to ensure invoices are paid within the payment terms and escalated commercial disputes to the department leadership;
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the department leadership, as requested.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, is a must. Portuguese language skill would be an advantage.
  • Eligible to live and work in Portugal
  • Willing and able to have 2-3 months training on site in US at the beginning of the role.

  • Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering or Business Administration or 5+ years of experience in related field;
  • Prefer prior experience in administrative, commercial, financial, technical, and material support process areas related to MRO services
  • Work efficiently with large amounts of data;
  • A good understanding of Financial and Business practices as well as experience in Sales and Business development;
  • Knowledge and understanding of heavy check, aircraft maintenance process;

  • Comprehension and understanding of broad practices associated within the Project/Program Management Fields.
  • Applies these understandings towards the complete management and execution of all Project/Program Life Cycle Tasks on a Single, Lower Priority Project or Program
  • A high level of proficiency with MS Office, Internet, Component Control, database and reporting, automation, and Lotus Notes
  • Some knowledge of Relational Databases, MS Project, SQL and Crystal Report writing.


Additional information

  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required, including weekends and nights.
